Affordable Fall Home Decor 2023

How do you decorate for Fall? My habits have changed over the years. When my son, (now grown up) was small, he LOVED Halloween. So we went all out and decorated with the scary stuff that deep inside I find to be so tacky. But, as a mom, I loved seeing things through his eyes, so we drug out the skeletons every year. Our front yard became a cemetery, and I have portrayed the Wicked Witch of the West more times than I care to admit. Fast forward to now, life with a grown child who still loves Halloween means that I will be pulling out some of the more tasteful Halloween decor this weekend. But, believe me, it will all come down on the morning of November 1st and then bring out the pumpkins and all the cozy things!

If it were up to me alone, I would decorate only for Fall. I love the colors, I love the change of seasons. I’m so glad to see more neutrals in Fall decor these days. Wood tones and washed whites are just what all of the bright orange needs to calm things down a bit. It was hard to narrow things down to just ten items, I could go on and on and “add to cart” all day long, trust me! However, to keep things simple and easy for you, here are then things I found on Amazon that I truly love and will likely add to my Fall decor as well. Enjoy!

A fall themed doormat can be used from the beginning of September right up until you put out the Christmas decor! As lifelong southerners, “y’all” is in our everyday vernacular, so it only seems fitting to greet people with, “Happy Fall Y’all!” I’ve seen similar doormats with pumpkins, pickup trucks and other fall icons, but I rather liked the simplicity of this one.

Dried flowers are having a moment right now, and these are so lovely. I like the fuzzy whites and browns. Bonus: low maintenance that will last all season!

This little guy has my heart! I saw this in a major retail store sitting in the child seat of someone’s cart and loved it right away. I think that version of this pillow is sold out, so Amazon for the win! I think this has just the perfect amount of whimsy that I try to achieve in my house, and he looks super snuggly!

As a homeowner that has double front doors, I find wreaths that I swoon over all the time. The problem is…I have to buy two matching wreaths and my budget doesn’t allow for that. I try to look for wreaths that are $20 or less so that I can buy two - that usually means something more simple, but in this care, simple is stunning! Get in my cart, two please!

Stop buying new seasonal pillows every year and buy a couple of solid or simple patterned pillow covers for the size pillows you already have. I guarantee you the two pillow covers will likely cost you less than the price of one new seasonal pillow! I love these beautiful velvet covers in burnt orange. They will really pop on my sofa which is covered in denim slipcovers - the blue and orange together will really make a statement!

To further the blue and orange theme in my family room, I’ll add this table runner to our console table and add small orange pumpkins to a wooden bread bowl as tabletop decor.

It won’t be long before the throw blankets will fought over every night! I love this plaid one against the neutral chair. It is available in multiple color combos as well.

Forget what I said about not buying seasonal pillows…check out this stunner! I think I will add it to our wicker sofa on our covered front porch.

You probably have some of these velvet pumpkins by now. They have been everywhere the last few years. Here’s a whole bunch of them for a great price. They are small, so you can put them everywhere in your home, which is what I do!

I have seen. lot of natural wood and natural material pumpkins this year and I am here for it! This one is a stunner at such a great price, you can get more than one.
