I am a long time fan of Banana Republic fashion. I vividly remember the safari look that was so popular in the 1980’s when Banana Republic launched, so now I am showing my age! A subsidiary of GAP, Inc. Banana Republic is the more sophisticated big sister of Old Navy and GAP. BR offers high quality casual attire with an emphasis on leather, suede, Italian merino wool, silk and cashmere. The fit of Banana Republic fashion is what I love, their sizes fit me like a glove and there is a lot more attention paid to the details of tailoring each item. While I love Old Navy as well, BR is far superior, even though you may pay a little more.
Today I thought I would highlight a few of my favorite items from Banana Republic. I hope to show you a few great staple pieces, as well as point out that the pricing at a Banana Republic Factory store is extremely reasonable. There are often sales on many basics and Banana Republic and Banana Republic Factory participates in the Navyist Rewards Program, a loyalty program for the GAP brands that include Old Navy, Banana Republic, Athleta and GAP stores. The program is free and provides many benefits across the brands such as free shipping on orders of $50 or more, exclusive offers, early sale access, birthday bonus, quarterly bonuses, and more. Essentially, you earn one point for every dollar spent across the brands. It really is a treat to get an additional $5 off for your birthday or quarterly bonus when you have just shopped a great sale and scored on new seasonal fashion!
Here are just a few of the items I love and recommend from Banana Republic Factory. I have at least once of each of these items and they are favorites that I reach for over and over.
Don’t take my word for it, even Hollywood loves Banana Republic. Megan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex wore a Banana Republic Shirtdress for a speech she gave at the Invictus Games in Germany just last month. The Banana Republic Factory Pleated Shirt Midi Dress retails originally for $140.00 but is currently on sale for $63.00. The duchess has been spotted on many occasions wearing shirtdresses and other basics from BR. Can you blame her? The fit, the fabrics, the classic colorways. It’s easy to love Banana Republic!
