The Office of Angela Scott Shoes

I feel like I have a knack for finding great brands.  I really do.  The Office of Angela Scott is one somewhat recent find that I just had to share with you.

I stumbled upon The Office of Angela Scott’s shoes about four years ago.  Thumbing through a magazine in a doctor’s office, I found a photo of Julia Roberts wearing a pair of STUNNING oxfords.  I love a well styled menswear look and our friend Julia was crushing it that day!  I quickly skimmed the footnotes to find what she was wearing and went directly to google to find out more. 

So it is important to note that I have been pining for a pair of Angela Scott’s shoes for four plus years now…but without further ado, I would like to introduce you to my new babies:

A shiny new pair of Bronze Metallic Miss Button Oxfords

I’m seriously smitten!

I actually purchased these back in April, so unfortunately, the bronze metallic are no longer available, but this same shoe is available in Mahogany and Black.

Shopping off season can really pay off, as I got a great deal on these.  So now that Fall has made its way to Georgia, I can’t wait to wear these.  Local friends, steady yourselves because these will be making appearances from now until next Spring!

I have to tell you, it wasn’t just the look of the shoes that pulled me in, when I checked out the website, I learned so much about the quality and craftsmanship that goes into every pair of shoes made by The Office of Angela Scott.

Angela Scott works with family owned factories in Portugal that specialize in time-honored craftsmanship. These factories and employees are proud to preserve traditional shoemaking, using a resolable construction to create timelines and beautiful women’s shoes.  Their shoes are so well made, they will literally last a lifetime.

Many years ago, I sold hats and boots at a local western wear store.  I learned a lot about boots during that time.  If you’ve ever had the pleasure of hearing me drone on and on about cowboy boots, you may remember me saying that you should never have to replace a pair of cowboy boots. Worst case scenario, they made need to be resoled, but never replaced. I so appreciate that idea, that the quality of something I have purchased will outlast my time here on earth.  The same will be true of a pair of Angela Scott shoes or boots – yes, they have boots too!

To further my love for the brand, I learned that the name, “The Office of Angela Scott” stands for the mothers, lawyers, doctors, directors, writers – all women make up “The Office”.

I would encourage you to not let the price tag turn you away.  I have found that at the end of every season, there are sales of 40% and 50% off current styles to make way for new designs that are coming soon.  Add yourself to the email list and you will receive emails with new designs, sale notices and special offers.  When I purchased my pair, I had received an offer for $100 off that I was able to apply to a deeply discounted pair.  It is worth the wait, I assure you!
